Miniature Print Exhibits

June 2022

The excitement of getting to share your finished work

Summer is here, and I’m excited to announce that two of my miniature intaglio prints have been selected for inclusion in mini printmaking shows here in NYC! I spent the winter months working on tiny copper plates in the etching studio. I love working on small plates. Despite their size, they can do a lot of storytelling and carry a lot of visual impact.

They are a great opportunity to work a little more quickly: make mistakes and gain learning much faster than on a plate that takes months to complete. Exploring new techniques and experimenting is less daunting on a small piece of copper, too. And it’s a natural fit for working on multiple plates at once, taking the learnings from one plate to another with ease.

My print “Towers of NoHo” was selected for the MGC show, and my print “Brugge 2” was selected for the SAGA show. Check out these, and the prints of many talented printmakers.

Both are viewable online, and prints are for sale through the galleries. If you’re in New York City, you can see the show at the SAGA in person at their gallery in Union Square on Saturdays and Sundays this month.

I hope you'll enjoy taking a look. Lately I've been catching up on some traveling that I didn't get to do last year. As things settle down, I look forward to making more art and sharing thoughts, processes, and other tidbits with you in this newsletter :)

Thanks for reading,

xx
